Short-Term Scientific Missions

🌍🔬 Exploring Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM) 🚀🌈

In the realm of collaborative research, Short-term scientific missions (STSM) stand as an exciting avenue. These missions symbolize exchange visits, connecting researchers participating in a dynamic COST Action. The essence? Empower scientists to embark on journeys of discovery, crossing borders to delve into new horizons of knowledge. 🌐📚

Short-term scientific missions (STSM) are exchange visits between researchers involved in a COST Action, allowing scientists to visit an institution or laboratory in another COST Member state. These scientific missions may last up to six months in another COST Member/Cooperating Member or Near-Neighbour Country joining the Action. Their aim is to foster collaboration in excellent research infrastructures and share new techniques that may not be available in a participant’s home institution or laboratory.

STSMs are more than just scientific escapades; they’re transformative experiences that propel cross-border partnerships and open doors to innovation. As scientists journey beyond the boundaries of their comfort zones, they return armed with fresh insights, advanced methodologies, and a broader perspective. These missions bridge gaps, blur borders, and unite researchers in the pursuit of groundbreaking advancements. 🌈🚀
